Naturopathy

Naturopathy is a form of health care which combines modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine. Naturopathy promotes the body’s own self healing mechanisms and is based on principles which employ methods to assist in the healing process, including lifestyle recommendations, physical therapy, diet and supplements. Using these principles, a naturopath can help you to improve your health and live a better life.

The six principles:

  1. Harbour the healing power of nature
  2. Do no harm
  3. Find and treat the cause of the problem, not just the symptoms
  4. Treat the whole person, not just the problem
  5. Educate the person
  6. Practice preventative medicine wherever possible

Health isn’t simply the absence of disease. To feel truly healthy it’s ensuring we are balanced on a mental, structural and  biochemical level, dysfunction in one area invariably leads to disruption elsewhere.

Our body gives off signs when things ‘ aren’t quite right’ whether its headaches, acne, digestive complaints or a feeling of fatigue.

Many factors can contribute to poor health for example food intolerances, stress, thyroid dysfunction, nutrient deficiencies, infections and more.

Each individual is unique, genetically, biochemically, structurally and emotionally different from one another. Each person responds uniquely to influences whether they are mental, emotional, structural, nutritional, social or Culturelle.

Juliette works to find the underlying drivers of imbalance.

At my first appointment what will happen

A full medical history will be taken alongside a detailed health questionnaire being filled in prior to the appointment. A physical examination may be carried out where necessary. If further tests are indicated I will either refer you back to your GP or may offer you access to private functional medicine testing. At the end of the consultation I will suggest a treatment plan and options which we can discuss to ensure the best outcome for your individual needs.

COVID-19 We are open

Please let us know and stay at home if you are suffering the symptoms of Covid-19 or are living with someone who is self-isolating and we will find an appointment when you are able to come.

To visit the practice we ask you to be totally free of fever, cough, altered sense of taste or smell, or breathing difficulties (unless the later are part of a chronic preexisting condition).

Equally we would ask you not to attend if you are self isolating due to Covid-19 symptoms affecting you or members of your household.

Although we are taking all measures possible, they can only minimize the risk of infection rather than eliminate it.

We hope that you are all well and look forward to seeing you.
